Why Monitoring Oncology Studies?
Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020, or nearly one in six deaths according to the WHO.
Clinical monitors safeguard the safety of study participants and help maintain clinical trial integrity, which is particularly important in oncology trials, due to the nature of the disease, the potential for treatment toxicity and for instilling confidence that the clinical trial data is reliable.
